Theth is a mountain village in northern Albania, set within the rugged Albanian Alps and surrounded by steep limestone peaks, wooded slopes, and narrow valleys. The settlement lies inside Theth National Park, where traditional stone houses and small farms are scattered along the valley floor. Theth is known for its dramatic mountain scenery and its role as a starting point for hiking routes through the Accursed Mountains. The village remains relatively small, with homes, guesthouses, and paths following the contours of the valley and connecting it with nearby mountain communities.

Theth has preserved several elements of traditional highland life, including stone houses, wooden structures, livestock keeping, and customary forms of village hospitality. The Lock-in Tower, or Kulla e Ngujimit, is one of the area's best-known cultural landmarks. This fortified stone building is associated with the traditional Kanun code and was used as a place of refuge during blood feuds. The village church, built in a simple Alpine style, has also become a recognizable symbol of Theth. Local households continue to produce food and handicrafts while welcoming visitors through family-run guesthouses.

Theth National Park contains forests, alpine meadows, waterfalls, streams, and high mountain passes. One of the area's most visited natural features is the Grunas Waterfall, where water drops through a rocky gorge below the surrounding cliffs. The Blue Eye of Theth is a deep natural spring surrounded by forest and mountain terrain, reached by a hiking route from the village. The Valbona Pass connects Theth with the Valbona Valley and is one of the best-known trekking routes in the Albanian Alps. Mountain trails also lead toward remote valleys, peaks, and traditional settlements.

Food in Theth reflects the pastoral traditions of northern Albania, with meals commonly based on potatoes, corn, beans, vegetables, dairy products, and locally raised meat. Traditional dishes served in village guesthouses include tavë kosi, flija, homemade breads, mountain cheeses, and fresh yogurt. Raki made from grapes or other local fruit is also part of regional hospitality. Guesthouses often prepare meals using ingredients from family gardens and nearby farms. A distinctive feature of Theth is the close relationship between its architecture and landscape, with thick stone walls, sloped roofs, and compact farm buildings adapted to the mountain environment.
